Over the summer months our foundation has been the recipient of many generous donations. We want to collectively and individually thank those who helped us in our dedication to making Dreams come true for children in the Westman area who are facing serious illnesses or challenges.
-At the end of the school year in June, the grade 5 and 6 students in Riverheights School tallied up the money raised from their school pizza days and proudly shared it with our foundation presenting us with $100.00. Thank you to Mrs. Gerry’s students for their hard work and generosity!
-Another group of students in Melita were also wrapping up their project dedicated to Westman Dreams for Kids. The Junior Social Justice Group under the supervision of teacher Leanne Bugg held a campaign with many activities, tickets sales and a BBQ lunch setting a monetary goal. The group surpassed their goal forwarding $558.00 to ensure more Dreams can come true! Thank you to Jessica Slack for suggesting this unique project to her Justice Group!
-And still in Melita, young Riley Bugg celebrated his 10th birthday. Instead of receiving gifts Riley asked his friends to make a donation to our foundation. Riley and his friends collected $230.00 and sent us a picture of the birthday celebration! Thank you Riley and friends!
-June 18th was the date for the annual CARM (Construction Association of Rural Manitoba) Golf Tournament. This popular event was once again a success with many golfers participating. Our foundation thanks all the participants, sponsors and organizers for the generous donation of $620.00 as a result of their tournament.
-Thank you also to Mr. Rick Blaine of Napa Auto for the generous donation from the very popular Monster Truck Show held in July at the Keystone Centre grounds.
