Tristan’s Road to Recovery

Tristan Stacy-Hopkie is pictured here enjoying his rib dinner with his brothers, Brendan and JT before cheering on The Brandon Wheat Kings and meeting his favorite player, Defenceman Ryan Pulock.. He is proudly wearing his autographed Wheat King Jersey! However, it has taken over a year for Tristan to be able to plan for and enjoy that evening. Tristan was diagnosed in August, 2012 at the age of 13 with cancer and has undergone aggressive chemotherapy and radiation.

Tristan was diagnosed in August, 2012 at the age of 13 with cancer and has undergone aggressive chemotherapy and radiation.

The family has travelled to Winnipeg Children”s Hospital on a regular basis, have spent weeks in hospital and watched as Tristan bravely endured all he had to do to get well. Tristan”s request Dream was all hockey related; he”s a huge Calgary Flames fan and of course loves our Brandon Wheat Kings. It was our pleasure to treat this brave young man to his evening of Ribs and Hockey and we wish Tristan continued good health.
