Ridgefest, 2014 was held on July 18 & 19th under the leadership of Lyall McDermid and Frank Maguire. These two gentlemen are well known in the Brandon music circle which, according to Frank is “alive & very well!” That is evident after the success achieved from the recently held event. Staged at The 40 on an outside stage, emerging artists were welcomed to display their talents for the two day event with well over 400 spectators attending. Frank & Lyall have been spearheading this popular Brandon event for years & were extremely pleased with this year’s success. Donations were accepted & dedicated to local charities, The Cancer Society and our foundation, Westman Dreams for Kids. The proceeds from the event saw each charity receive $1750.00! Thank you Frank & Lyall & all the wonderful artists who performed & to the public who so generously donated to Ridgefest; another child will be the recipient of a Dream thanks to all of your combined efforts.
