Westman Dreams for Kids has made sure that children from the Westman area will get the care they need for a long time to come. January 9th the foundation presented The Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation with a cheque for $150,000.00 for the “Room for Renewal” campaign designated for the relocation and renovation of the Pediatric unit to be known as The Westman Dreams for Kids Pediatric Unit. This donation will leverage government funding to a total of $3 million dollars which will cover the entire cost of the project. Foundation Board members were present as fellow Board Member Jeff Thompson made the cheque presentation to BRHC Foundation Board Chair, Derrick Stewart and Brian Schoonbaert, Chief Operating Officer. The legacy this project will leave mirrors the objectives of the hundreds of individual Dreams granted by the foundation for 25 years; continuing to have a positive impact on children’s lives today, tomorrow and for years to come.
